Room Six Voyeur

Voyeur, Room 6, is a project focused on the “goings on” within hotel rooms. Hotel rooms are used for many reasons, business, pleasure, protection; to hide something or someone. Focusing in on the dark and seedy uses for them, I considered voyeurism, the act of watching someone for pleasure.

I created a story of a young girl spending time alone in a room, and being watched without knowing. By placing myself in the work, uncomfortable and self conscious feelings created a real sense of uncertainty, playing on the idea of feeling like you’re being watched.
